This project was created from driftwood sourced along the Southern Oregon Coast as well as various found and crafted objects. The title comes from a desire to at once engage in society as well as abandon it continually. The driftwood may very well have come from rivers upstream from the Oregon Coast and settled along various beaches. My intention is to float this raft along parts of the Rogue River to bring the logs back from whence they came and continue to commune with the river and ecosystems along the way.
